Turnkey Campaign Management

Start to Finish

We manage complete campaigns for our clients from start to finish. You provide the budget. You sit in on a few meetings. You provide some approvals along the way. That’s it. We do everything else. Everything else.

In some cases we support parts of client campaigns. You may want to produce the creative yourselves using your in-house creative team. You may want to manage parts of your campaign, and Amherst manage the other parts, for example providing and processing the mailing lists.

If there is a list on the market, we know about it, we can source it, and we know the smart ways to filter for optimized performance. We work with all of the major list cooperatives, allowing you to have your customers “look-alike” modeled to identify every household in the country with a high propensity to respond to your offer. Some of our clients have only the email addresses of their customers; we can have those matched to postal addresses. Some of our clients need to know which of their customers have children in the home; we can identify those. Need to know which of your customers are managers or business owners? Yes, we can do that.

Shared mail significantly reduces costs. While response rates logically drop along with costs, the costs often drop considerably more than the response rates, producing better or competitive returns vs. a solo direct mail program. We work with the leaders in shared mail, bringing you access to over 50 million households and circulations in the many hundreds of millions each year. We work with all of them, so there’s no conflict of interest in who we recommend to you. Our priority is what’s in your interest. Our experience working with these shared mail programs, and advice on how to most successfully test them and leverage their massive scale, is expensive to do without.

We bring the right vendors to the table to manage the list preparation which must comply with USPS specifications so you’re getting the lowest possible postage rates. Need your customer or prospect database managed? Scored? Specialized firms are dedicated specifically to these services and you’ll want to benefit from our, and their, core competencies in these specialized list production and data areas. We arrange for all of that for you.


Arts and Crafts

The first 3 seconds of a recipient’s engagement with your mail matter most, so the device itself and the design of the external of the piece are super vital. Christopher and Dianne aren’t diving into Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign themselves. Many clients use their own creative teams and find that our guidance on best practices in general, and specifically in device selection and external design, is where we deliver incremental value. No in-house creative team? We bring the best designers to the table for our clients and manage the creative process start to finish, all with your approval and sign-offs along the way.
